The 3D Health Scan

See what the scale doesn't tell you

A scale gives you one number. The 3D Health Scan shows what that number is made of: muscle, fat, fluid, circumferences and posture — in a complete 3D model of your body.

Why a 3D scan?

Two people, the same weight. A completely different body.

Weight says very little. If you build muscle and lose fat, the scale may hardly move — while in reality a lot is changing. And the other way around, a stable weight can hide an unhealthy shift.

The 3D Health Scan makes those differences visible. You get objective figures per body part and a 3D model, so you see progress you would otherwise miss.

  • An objective starting point for every goal
  • Progress made visible, even when the scale stands still
  • Spot points of attention in posture and balance early

Two measuring techniques in one scan

The scan combines a 3D camera with a bio-impedance measurement. Together they give a more accurate picture than either one alone.

  • 3D depth camera + rotating platform — you turn 360° while the camera builds a 3D model of your body. This provides your circumferences, body shape and posture.
  • 8-point bio-impedance — through electrodes under your feet and in your hands, a very weak current that you cannot feel measures at several frequencies how your body is composed: fat, muscle and fluid, per arm, leg and torso.
  • Smart combination — the 3D shape and the impedance measurement are calculated together for more stable results that are easier to compare.
What we measure

More than 30 values in a single scan

From your body fat percentage to the position of your shoulders — clearly grouped into three parts.

Body composition

  • Weight, BMI and body fat percentage
  • Fat mass and fat-free mass
  • Muscle mass and skeletal muscle mass
  • Visceral fat (around the organs)
  • Total body water, inside and outside the cells
  • Protein and minerals
  • Basal metabolic rate (energy used at rest)
  • Waist-to-hip ratio
  • Fat and muscle per arm, leg and torso

Circumferences & shape

  • Neck and chest
  • Left and right upper arm
  • Waist at three heights
  • Hip
  • Left and right thigh
  • Left and right calf
  • Complete 360° 3D model of your body

Posture & balance

  • Head forward or tilted
  • Height difference between the shoulders
  • Rounded shoulders, left and right
  • Tilt or shift of the pelvis
  • Leg alignment (bow legs or knock knees)
  • Knee position
  • Differences between left and right side
Your results

Your report, always at hand

Your results are ready right after the scan. You receive them digitally on your phone and, if you like, on paper as well.

  • Digital report — view your 3D model and all your values on your phone or computer.
  • All your scans stored — your measurement history stays available, so you can always look back.
  • Compare in 3D — put up to 8 scans side by side and see exactly where you lost fat or gained muscle.
  • 3D preview — see how your body can change when you reach your goal. Extra motivation to keep going.

Within minutes

The scan itself is done quickly; the explanation takes most of the time.

360° in 3D

You turn on a platform; you don't have to do anything.

No X-rays

Only a camera and a measuring current you cannot feel.

From 5 to 99 years

Suitable up to 175 kg and a height of about 2 metres.

Your appointment

This is how the scan goes

An appointment takes about 30 minutes, including the explanation. The scan itself only takes a few minutes.

Welcome

We briefly discuss your goal, your background and any complaints, and enter your height, age and sex.

Scanning

You stand barefoot on the heated platform, hold the handles and slowly turn 360°.

Analysis

Within a few minutes your 3D model and values are ready on the screen.

Explanation

The coach explains everything in plain language and gives you concrete points to work on.

Preparation

How to get the most out of your scan

The measurement of fat, muscle and fluid is sensitive to eating, drinking and exercise. For a reliable and comparable measurement, the circumstances should be as similar as possible. So plan follow-up scans at the same time of day if you can.

Not suitable with a pacemaker or ICD

Because the scan works with a weak measuring current, it is not suitable if you have a pacemaker, ICD or other implanted electronic device. Are you pregnant or do you have metal implants? Let us know beforehand and we will discuss what is possible.

  • Wear close-fitting sportswear (sports shorts/leggings and a sports top). No loose or shiny fabric.
  • You are scanned barefoot — socks and shoes come off.
  • Remove jewellery and your watch, and preferably wear long hair up.
  • Do not eat a large meal 2–3 hours beforehand.
  • Drink normally, but not a large amount right before the scan. Go to the toilet beforehand.
  • Do not train hard or use a sauna in the 12 hours before the scan.
  • Avoid alcohol and a lot of caffeine the day before.
  • During your period your fluid balance can differ — plan follow-up scans in the same phase of your cycle if possible.
